Hon’ble C. Subramaniam presented the budget for 1954-55. “The Budget for 1954-55 is the first full budget of New Madras State, after the separation of Andhra. It has been framed under conditions which are generally tending towards normal, after the long spell of adverse seasons and the post-war fluctuations in trade and industry.”
